GoNOMAD, a site featuring travel writing, has just published an article I wrote about an adventure years in the making; My wife Ann and I were thrilled to make this bucket-list trek until, five days into the hike, I tumbled from the top of Kidsty Pike, breaking my leg. I couldn’t walk, Ann couldn’t carry me, and we were out of cell service with more than a mile to go for help. We completed the hike, but it took us a year. Read it here.
