ABOUT
A native Washingtonian, I have worked as a dishwasher, a short order cook, a sandblaster, a school counselor, and a professional clam digger. After a thirty year career as a guidance counselor in the public schools, I finally “graduated" and am now retired and working as a writer and storyteller. I live with my wife Ann, along the shores of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
I love to read and I love to write. My other interests include hiking, biking, and traveling. I bicycled coast to coast (from Port Angeles to Bar Harbor) and border to border (from Neah Bay to San Ysidro). In 2001 my wife and I put our careers on hold, pulled our three kids out of school, and backpacked around the world for fourteen months, experiencing forty-three countries.
